If you think about it, no one in a raid says something like "oh my god yes a druid!" if one joins the raid.

If a Shaman joins a raid(especially if there are none in the raid yet) everyone has a massive egasm! Totems! Buffs! Heals! lasers! What's not to like, honestly?
